Hair Restoration
If you're struggling with thinning hair or early-stage hair loss, D&A Esthetics Med Spa offers a natural, non-surgical solution to help you regrow stronger, healthier hair.
We offer PRFM injections and PDGF Microneedling here at D&A Esthetics Med Spa! Not sure which one is best for you? Consult with an experienced provider today.
1) PDGF (Platelet Derived Growth Factors) Microneedling: Similar to PRP, however no blood draw needed! Pure PDGF contains 1,000 to 3,000 times the number of growth factors found in PRP. This enhanced concentration is achieved through recombinant technology, which produces a pure and sterile pharmaceutical product, ensuring consistent and high-quality results with every treatment.
2) PRFM (Platelet- Rich Fibrin Matrix) Injections: This treatment uses your body’s own blood to nourish hair follicles and stimulate long-lasting hair regrowth. We begin by drawing a small amount of your blood, then process it using a specialized system to create PRFM. The enriched fibrin matrix is then injected into areas of thinning or shedding hair—typically the scalp, hairline, or crown. Over time, clients notice improved density, thickness, and growth in the treated areas
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How are PDGF and PRFM different?
- PDGF: A pharmaceutical-grade, highly concentrated growth factor therapy that doesn’t require blood. Stronger and consistent results.
- PRFM: Uses your own blood to produce growth factors in a fibrin matrix. Safe and natural, but the concentration may vary by patient.
2. What is PRFM vs PRP? Unlike traditional PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), PRFM is spun at a slower rate, creating a fibrin-rich matrix that traps growth factors and releases them more slowly. The result? Stronger, sustained stimulation of hair follicles for thicker, fuller hair over time.
3. How do I know if I should do PDGF or PRFM? During your consultation, you and the provider will discuss what is better suited for you. PDGF eliminates the variability of your blood and may be more suitable to those who are older.
4. Who is a good candidate? These treatments are ideal for treating androgenic alopecia (male/female pattern baldness) and age related thinning.
5. Does it hurt? We use local numbing cream however clients report it is uncomfortable but tolerable. The treatment itself is very quick.
5. How many sessions do I need? Depending on your hair loss, will determine the amount of treatments. Since PDGF is more concentrated, you may need less treatments compared to PRFM. PRFM typically takes a series of 4-6 sessions 4-6 weeks apart.
