Microneedling and PRP

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that promotes healing. Plasma is a component of your blood, that when removed and concentrated, contains special proteins that support cell growth called growth factors. Using PRP with a SkinPen microneedling device allows for penetration of PRP into the skin. The micro channels created by the SkinPen allow even distribution of PRP across the treatment area as well as absorption into deeper layers of the skin. PRP’s growth factors penetrate these deeper skin layers, encouraging collagen growth and rejuvenation of collagen cells.
