Microneedling and PRP

Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries that stimulate your body's natural wound healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact. 

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that promotes healing. Plasma is a component of your blood, that when removed and concentrated, contains special proteins that support cell growth called growth factors. Using PRP on damaged tissues should stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing.

Using PRP with a SkinStylus, an FDA approved microneedling device allows for penetration of PRP into the skin. The micro channels created by the SkinStylus allow even distribution of PRP across the treatment area as well as absorption into deeper layers of the skin. PRP’s growth factors penetrate these deeper skin layers, encouraging collagen growth and rejuvenation of collagen cells.
